CANstack – the continuous can stacker

Description

The CANstack is used when stacking 2, 3 or 4 cans on top of each other.The cans are continuously stacked by a rotating starstacker. Therfore high production speeds are possible.

  • The cans are fed from 2 to 4 conveyors of different height.
  • The feeding star synchronizes the feeding process.
  • a second star wheel positions the cans on top of each other.
  • The cans are treated very carefully to prevent from any damage.
  • When changing can sizes few changeover parts are needed.
  • After the cans are stacked they are conveyed to the next process step as e.g. wrapping.

As filler of bulk goods you benefit by the advantages of the CANstack:

  • Because of the continuous turning process, high speeds are possible. A robot is not able to achieve this productivity, also in means of cost.
  • Because of the low relative speed inside the star wheels, the stress of the cans is reduced to a minimum.
  • The low complexity of the machine design, results in high maintainability and therefore high efficiency.
  • The use of maintenance free bearings also results in low running cost.
  • The optimum accessibility of the machine supports easy maintenance and change over of can sizes.
